One story of how our Two Boys Brew Kombucha is helping men rebuild their gut-health.

Chris reached out to us to tell us how much he loved our kombucha. Once we heard a little bit about his story, we wanted to hear more.

Hi Chris, tell us a bit about yourself… 

Well, I was born in Scotland and spent the first eight years of my life there, and then moved out to Australia and settled into Melbourne and been here for over 30 years. Married for 20 years and two girls, a house, and two dogs.

How did you hear about our booch? 

Randomly. I was just at our local café for a lunch meeting and our client ordered a few – they’re from NSW and they said Two Boys Brew was one of the best ones they’ve ever tasted so we all got one. 

So, the BIG QUESTION – tell us about the IMPACT it’s had on your health…

Yeah, so this is like the life changing bit right … and yes, I’m in marketing so I know that’s a little cliché but honestly … life changing for me.

In April 2020, I had some massive stomach pain and had to go to hospital. After a few tests and scan they found a massive tumour stuck to my bowel and abdomen. So within 6-weeks I had major surgery, needed 6-months off work, and I’ve been on medication ever since.

And as a result, one of the biggest challenges has been dealing with my stomach, gut health, and just kinda feeling off most days.

But, without a word of lie, ever since drinking Two Boys Brew Kombucha, I’ve never felt better! 

That’s incredible – so, what have you noticed?

I’m conscious about health but only know a little bit about the gut health biome thing. For me, I’ve stopped running to the toilet 5-7 times a day. I’m sleeping better. I can process food and keep it down (or in) much better.

After two years of feeling pretty terrible, I feel so good in my stomach and digestion now.

Amazing – and, have to ask, favourite flavour?

Well, we have a deal in our house, my girls have dibs on French Kiss and all the Silk Road is mine.

I like them both, but I’ve always been a fan of ginger and kombucha.

How does it stack up to other drinks?

I enjoy a nice red wine, bourbon or beer but Silk Road is now my go to drink.

That’s the other thing.

It’s actually really nice to sit down on the couch and share one with my wife – she loves it too.

The double-win is it tastes great but is also actually good for you.

What's your favourite way to have it?

3-4 ice cubes, slice of lemon or lime, served cold.

For French Kiss, it’s the same, but we drop in a sprig of Rosemary from the garden.

What would you say to others about our kombucha who haven’t tried it yet? 

It tastes great.

It’s good for your health.
